Arty first premiered this ID above at Pier 94 a few weeks ago, and sounds extraordinary, a truly monumental record still waiting on a release date. So below, to start your weekend off right I scoured the net for the best and amounted to nothing less than a buffet of progressive gems. All of these heaters are placed in no particular order and each deserves adequate attention. I’m sure a few are destined for immediate download.

Swiss Dj and producer Maurizio Colella aka EDX has finally released his much anticipated premier artist album “On The Edge”. This album is the culmination of the EDX’s career thus far, which began as a young Swiss Dj handing out mixtapes in the late 90s that would soon go global and help propel the now world famous Dj to widespread fame and success. With a famous brand “No Xcuses” and radio show to his name, EDX has toured the world playing clubs from Los Angeles to Soeul to Melbournne to Paris. He just finished his summer residency at the world’s number one club “Space” in Ibiza and is getting ready for his No Xcuses Tour, which will take him all over the world and send him tearing through the summer festival season with this album as his primary weapon. Below is the soundcloud teaser that was posted a while back by EDX and after the jump a full review of the album and a few selections of the album to preview.

Today I’ve got a real sick new mashup featuring vocals from one of Childish Gambino’s latest track ‘Heartbeat’, and the filthy electro house anthem ‘Slam the Door’ by Zedd. The result is an upbeat well done bootleg mashup that works very well. They don’t overuse the vocals, and only put them in at the perfect time, never clashing with the bass. makes a new track out of two. Turn it up, enjoy!

Jeremy Olander delivers with this free two track EP that is exactly what you expect from Eric Prydz’ label, Pryda and Friends. These two songs are perfect for your rough Saturday morning with well developed builds and an excellent bass line, as well as subtle synth leads that crescendo into a combination of powerful synths and high energy bass. Be sure to watch out for this young Swede in 2012, with the continued support of Eric Prydz, a growing fanbase and a great 2011, this rising producer and Dj is sure to have a big year.

If you are not excited for “In My Mind” releasing on Monday, then you really need to reevaluate some things in your life and stop watching re-runs of Teen Mom. Here are some quality original tracks and a remix from my inbox who have really stood out. Alex Skolds aka “Destimix” provides this upbeat progressive house song with uplifting melodies, but also brings some originality to the table with a little bit of an old school feel to it. Alex Dunsker or just Dunsker provides a hard hitting electro song with heavy breaks and softer builds. The jaYadav remix provides a heavier alternative to this song from Starkillers and Nadia Ali that has been charting incredibly well. Nadia Ali’s vocals are of course amazing and the remix adds a heavy, high energy, pounding electro drop.

Electro producer Ftampa, the man who brought you the epic remix of Avicii’s Levels, has apparently taken a couple of his close friends under his wing with the result being Scary Toys. As expected, the sound is still pretty similar to that of Ftampa’s yet its got their own take on the up and coming Brazilian electro style. But not to mention it takes some huevos to remix Daft Punk. They leave just enough of the original track to take us back before breaking it down into some funky glitch filled bass! Turn it up and enjoy this electro banger! ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
Today I’ve got a new classic house remix fit for the club. It’s a remix of Porcelain Black and Lil Wayne’s track ‘Rock n Roll’, don’t be none other then rising electro house start R3hab. He’s a turned a bunch of so-so radio hits into club bass filled BANGERS like Judas and Champagne Showers. This track is no different, it’s got the vocals from Porcelain Black and Lil Wayne, and a club hit all the way through. Turn it up, enjoy! ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
So you remember the insanely epic collaboration between Pretty Lights and LeAnn Rime and Dr. Ralph Stanley ‘Wayfaring Stranger’? Well the chilled out track just got blasted with a dose of bass and energy with a new Electro Mix compliments of Pretty Lights himself. It still sounds very similar to the original, but a a little heavier giving it a good change of pace. The vocals and PL’s style works so well on this track. Turn it up, enjoy! ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
It still blows my mind how big Pretty Lights has gotten in the few years, and for all the right reasons. You’ve heard his amazing albums, all given away for free, and some of his epic remixes. His last single that he put out ‘I Know the Truth’ sent his listeners thinking he was going in a more bass fueled heavier direction, well today we hear that he’s still maintaining his downtempo side. This track ‘We Must Go On’ reminds me of his earlier stuff with the sample based vibe. Now I know Derek has been working with a ton of musicians throughout the country, so the samples used in the track are most likely recorded instead of taken from old vinyl. I love the PL vibe that shines through every track, it’s almost electronic music with a hip hop vibe. This track comes complete with a new video as well filmed and edited by Derek and girlfriend Krystle. Check it out, chill, enjoy!

With growing support from Zeds Dead, The Killabits, and plenty more, Killagraham is making his grand entrance into the dubstep game. Florida based Killagraham is most known for his house and electro remixes like I’m On One and Cudi Zone as well as being a member of DEFEP, the team who brought you the massive remix of Everyday by Rusko. But here he takes it up a few notches and puts together a gigantic track that I would put right alongside the likes of Flux and Doctor P. Turn on repeat and prepare yourself for some fat bass lines! ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
The 19 year Vermont native on Mark Brown led CR2 records, Pierce Fulton, has revealed his latest single “Who Wants Spagetti”, to be released February 13th. Still enjoying the success of his widely supported “Pardon My French” EP, as well as his remix of Chuckie & Gregor Salto’s “What Happens In Vegas“, Pierce Fulton is prepared to have a huge year having already played alongside the likes of Tiesto, Mark Knight, Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris this year alone. Make sure to mark February 13th on your calenders because this high energy, electro infused track packs quite a punch.∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
We usually do not post podcasts of artists here, but this one from Sebastian Ingrosso is too good not to. The first episode of what should be soon one of the top podcasts around, Sebastian Ingrosso plays numerous tracks from his label, Refune Records, as well as unreleased tracks such as the anthemic masterpiece from Ivan Gough, Feenixpawl and Georgi Kay “In My Mind”, Otto Knows’ Million Voices, which now has a release date of FEBRUARY 8th and a new track from Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello AND Alesso (See video above). Ingrosso puts together a podcast not only with new tracks, but also some classics and tracks he has been playing recently that have been working really well for him out. Dirty South calls in to play “Eyes Wide Open” and we will be hearing gossip about Djs around the world next episode, as well as the vocal version “Calling”, so make sure to tune in next month. Tracklist after the jump.

Today I’ve got the latest catchy remix from Brenton Duvall. For those unfamiliar, he’s the guy who made a few of the most popular tracks on the site, like his Gucci Mane remix, his Taylor Swift vs Wiz Khalifa remix, or his track Lights! (Ft. Ellie Goulding, Waka Flaka). He made a real funky sounding electronic beat with a sample from PantyRaid, then using some vocals from Gym Class Heroes and Neon Hitch. The result is another signature catchy track that works well for any hour of the day. Check it out, chill, rage, enjoy! ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞ ∞
This song is absolutely massive, like the size of the sun massive. The combination of vocals from Shermanology, who did vocals for “Blessed” with Avicii and have collaborated with Fedde le Grand, Chocolate Puma as well as Afrojack previously; have created a song that will be heard all around the world in clubs, cars, festivals and everywhere in between. Afrojack toned down the bleepy dutch house that we heard in “Lost & Found Vol. 2″ and gave us an infectious, pitched, synth driven electro / progressive house instrumental that you cannot help but love and want to dance to. A subtle piano melody underneath the vocals in the build puts everything together in this song.
